Love Happens at Gretna Little Theatre

Gretna Little Theatre produces six to seven shows a year, but some of our best benefits are the friendships that develop.

During Bye, Bye Birdie in 2012, Tiffany Queener and Joey Giles met during rehearsals, and friendship blossomed into romance. We are please to send best wishes to the couple as they begin their new life together next month.

The Rev. Joseph N. Giles is currently the pastor of Eureka Baptist Church in Keysville; Ms. Queener is employed by Charlotte County Public Schools in the Special Education area.

Greer Accepted into Governor's Summer Theatre School

Maggie Greer, our Lola in Damn Yankees, has been accepted into Governor’s Summer Residential School for theatre aspirants.  We send her forward with mixed feelings, of course; her summer will be busy and we will miss her at Nine to Five.

We Have Always Lived in the Castle

What murky secret lies within this home?

The town whispers of murder.

But the defendant was found “not guilty.”

Who lives here?

What happens next?

Constance and her sister Mary Katherine survived an unholy massacre, as did their Uncle Julian, but when Cousin Charles comes for a visit, the voices are heard again.

A dark melodrama unleashes unexpected terrors as this story comes to stage May 16-18 at the Gretna movie Theatre, presented by Gretna Little Theatre.

We Have Always Lived in the Castle,
adapted from the novel by Shirley Jackson, by Hugh Wheeler,
and directed by Janina Shoemaker

Featuring Megan Bowling, Eden Ilconich, Briana Pierce, Whitney Younger and

Adam Ilconich with Carrie Nordquist, Jim Nordquist, Matthew Pabo, and SuEllen Stracke
