Talent Show!

Enjoy these photographs from our recent talent show in the Gretna Center for the Arts!

Gretna Little Theatre Walks to End Alzheimer's

Members of Gretna Little Theatre joined the Walk to End Alzheimer's  in Danville to support research and awareness for this dread disease.  The October production features  three elderly ladies who are not victims, but have the prescription of laughter to stay young and vital.  A portion of the proceeds is earmarked for the benefit of the Central and Western Virginia Alzheimer's Associaton.

Old Timer's Jubilee

The Gretna Center for the Arts will be open Saturday, October 18, from 10 - 3 to  visitors at the annual Old Timer's Jubilee. The former City Market is the home of Gretna Little Theatre, currently holding rehearsals on the main floor, and storing equipment including costumes and props on the upper levels.

To emphasize the mission of being a center for arts, there will be an exhibition of art work from students, two- and multi- dimensional.  Artists may bring their art work to the Center Friday afternoon for placement.

We will host a book signing table;  a small stage is set up for instrumentalists to "jam" for an hour or so. Authors  and musicians may contact the center (434 656 3637) to be included.

Featured during Jubilee will be movie posters, old time records (33 vinyls), wood craft, votive candles,
all for sale.

The Gretna Center for the Arts is at 101 Main Street, facing the classic cars that come to Gretna for the Jubilee.
