Gretna Center for the Arts December Open House

Gretna Little Theatre will be celebrating with a Holiday Open House Sunday, December 7, from 4 to 6 at The Gretna Center for the Arts. The community theatre has completed its 7th season and is taking a three month hiatus to remodel the main hall of the former City Market into a “black-box” theatre. The Board of Directors invites the community to share the excitement of the renovation with a “heavy hors d’oeuvre and punch party.”

When the remodel is complete, the theatre will be able to continue with its mission of being the Center of Gretna’s arts calendar with youth theatre, music concerts, visual art exhibits, book signings, and occasional Saturday coffee house. The 8th season will open March 20 with a romantic comedy, The Last Romance, in an intimate performance space.   The summer musical is a 50's Rock & Roll Music Revue.  End of July.  Our Closing show will be Fences by August Wilson, scheduled for October.

Gretna Little Theatre members are persons who have been in a show, worked on a crew for a show, come as audience for a show, or donated time, materials, or cash for the theatre’s operation. We are an all volunteer arts organization, welcoming any and all, no previous experience necessary.
